  • Martha Walter, a graduate student in our School Psychology program area, has received the Graduate Student Peer Mentor Award honoring the graduate student in a department who takes the time to help others succeed in graduate school.
  • EPSA Food Drive SUCCESS! Thank you to everyone who donated! Together we raised a total of $60 and 93 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank! They were very appreciative and thought it was absolutely wonderful our department was doing such a great deed for those in need this holiday season. So congratulations to everyone! Thanks again to everyone who participated!!
  • Golnaz Arastoopour, a third-year student of David Shaffer and a researcher for the Epistemic Games Group, was chosen to lead a group of researchers in reviewing submitted grant proposals.
  • Matthew Hora, alumnus from the Learning Sciences area, recently had a paper published in the Journal of the Learning Sciences. Matthew is currently an Assistant Scientist at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) here at UW-Madison.
  • Introducing the new Education and Educational Services Certificate Program! The program supports undergraduate students interested in aspects of education, but who choose not to major in Education. Check it out at Education and Educational Services Certificate Program.
  • EPSA School Supply Drive is from April 18 to May 10. In May, a group of graduate students will be embarking upon a trip to ANINI, an orphanage which provides home-like care to children with disabilities, outside of Guatemala City, Guatemala. ANINI is a small "city" which includes houses for the orphans and a school which extends to the greater community. A part of their trip will consist of engaging the children of the orphanage and the school in an art project in order to build community.
