Biography

Chaeyeon Kim is a doctoral student in the Learning Sciences area within the Department of Educational Psychology, advised by Dr. Mitchell Nathan. Her research focuses on applying grounded and embodied cognition theories to VR/AR/XR learning environments, especially in STEM education. She aims to design immersive simulations that help students think and learn through their bodies. Ultimately, she seeks to develop gesture- and motion-based assessment tools that make learning in virtual spaces more interactive and meaningful.
