Biography
Shanthi Kuppa is a doctoral student in the Human Development area within the Department of Educational Psychology. Shanthi works with Dr. Haley Vlach in the Learning, Cognition and Development (LCD) lab.
Education
Shanthi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2025.
Research Interests
I am interested in understanding children’s cognitive development to support them in becoming efficient and involved learners. Additionally, I am also interested in exploring how educational contexts can be better shaped to support children’s abilities to actively acquire, construct, and transfer knowledge across scientific learning contexts.
