Biography

Kancong (Silvia) Liu is a doctoral student in the Human Development area within the Department of Educational Psychology. She is a member of the Learning, Cognition, and Development (LCD) Lab, where she works with Dr. Haley Vlach.

Education

B.S. in Early Childhood Education, minor in Economics, Boston University

Ed.M. in Learning Design, Harvard University

Research Interests

Her research examines how children build knowledge about the world and form conceptual understanding. She is also interested in integrating cognitive science principles into science education to foster deeper and more effective learning.
