Heidi Udelhoven

  • Department Administrator

Heidi Udelhoven started her UW career in 2011 as a Payroll Coordinator in the College of Engineering. She joined the department in December 2013. She brings with her a thorough understanding of payroll and benefits, human resources, international visitor needs (visas and insurance), and the HRS system. As Department Administrator, she assists the Department Chair in all administrative capacities, including budget preparation, human resources, personnel matters, payroll, and grants administration.

Barb Lienau

Barb Lienau joined the Department in 1984 and except for a one year stint in L&S, has been with the Department ever since. Over the years she performed the duties of all the administrative positions in the Department and accepted the Department Administrator position in December 2006. She assisted the Department Chair in all administrative capacities, including assisting in budget preparation, human resources, personnel matters, payroll, and grants administration. She has returned to her previous position as Graduate Admissions Coordinator helping facutly and students manage the complicated work of admissions and helping students manage their academic career in the department.

In recognition of her many accomplishments, Barb earned a School of Education Distinguished Achievement Award in 1999.

Steven Potter

Steve Potter joined the department in 2014. He is the Curricular Representative and manages facilities and staff reimbursements for the department, among other administrative duties. His professional experience includes working in state government and politics as well as a reporter/writer for various media.

Kweku Brewoo

  • Financial Specialist
  • Quantitative Methods Administrative Liaison

Kweku Brewoo joined the department in 2015. Kweku helps manage the payroll, benefits, international visitors and other financial related matters for the department. He worked previously for the College of Letters & Science and the School of Business where he served as Financial Specialist. He is a UW-Madison graduate.

Carlo Annelli

  • Information Technology Consultant
  • Graduate Student, Dept. of French and Italian

Carlo Annelli comes to us with a dual background in technology and the humanities. After working as a printing system administrator at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, he left to pursue a Master’s in Italian through Middlebury College and then joined the Department of French and Italian here at UW to complete his doctoral studies.
