UW–Madison School of Education again in top 5 of U.S. News rankings

UW–Madison’s School of Education and many of its programs are again rated among the very best in the nation according to the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings released Tuesday, March 29.

UW–Madison is home to the fifth-ranked school of education in the nation — marking the ninth straight year it has been rated among the top five.

“Our overall ranking as one of the top five schools of education in the nation is indicative of the depth and breadth of our high quality programs,” says Dean Diana Hess, the Karen A. Falk Distinguished Chair of Education. “The extraordinarily high rankings are due to the innovative work done by our exceptional faculty, staff, and students. The very generous and consistent support of our thousands of alumni and friends makes a critical difference — we are able to fund exciting new programs and provide the high levels of student support that are necessary to thrive.”
